Assam is a state in northeastern India known for its wildlife, archeological sites and tea plantations. Assam is home to several national parks, including the famous Kaziranga National park and Manas National park, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Apart from this Nameri National Park and Forest Reserve, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctunary, The Orang National Park are also very popular for Elephant safaris and Jeep safaris. Assam has several prominent bird sanctuaries, each offering a unique opportunities for birdwatching.

Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga National Park is a protected area in the northeast Indian state of Assam. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, its forests, wetlands and grasslands are home to tigers, elephants and the world’s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses. Ganges River dolphins swim in the park’s waters. It’s visited by many rare migratory birds, and gray pelicans roost near Kaziranga village. Here you can experience wildlife safaris through both jeep and elephant rides. Jeep safaris offer a wider view and cover more ground, while elephant safaris provide a quieter, closer perspective of the landscape and wildlife

Manas National Park

Manas National Park is a national park, Project Tiger reserve, and an elephant reserve in Assam, India. Located in the Himalayan foothills, it share borders the Royal Manas National Park in Bhutan. Manas is also famous for its population of the wild water buffalo and Because of its exceptional biodiversity & scenery and variety of habitats Manas National Park is a biosphere reserve and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary on the southern bank of the Brahmaputra in Morigaon district in Assam. It providing grassland and wetland habitat for the Indian rhinoceros. It holds one of the largest Indian rhinoceros populations in Assam

Nameri National Park

Nameri National Park is a national park in the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in the Sonitpur District of Assam. Nameri National Park was declared as tiger reserve in the year 2000, and is the second Tiger reserve of Assam after Manas Tiger Reserve, It has two core areas: Nameri National Park and Sonai- Rupai Wildlife

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati

✅ Visit Kamakhya Temple, Brahmaputra River Cruise (optional).

✅ Overnight Stay: Guwahati

Day 2: Guwahati to Shillong + Sightseeing

✅ Travel to Shillong (100 km, 3 hrs).

✅ En route visit Umiam Lake.

✅ Sightseeing: Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls, Don Bosco Museum.

✅ Overnight Stay: Shillong

Day 3: Shillong to Cherrapunjee – Back to Shillong

✅ Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Caves.

✅ Explore Eco Park & Arwah Caves.

✅ Return to Shillong.

Day 4: Shillong to Dawki – Back to Shillong

✅ Visit Dawki & Umngot River (crystal clear waters).

✅ Explore Mawlynnong (Asia’s Cleanest Village).

✅ Return to Shillong.

✅ Overnight Stay: Shillong

Day 5: Shillong to Kaziranga + Orchid Park Visit

✅ Drive to Kaziranga National Park (5 hrs).

✅ Visit Orchid Park, local sightseeing.

✅ Overnight Stay: Kaziranga

Day 6: Kaziranga Safari Day

✅ Early morning Elephant Safari.

✅ Afternoon Jeep Safari to explore wildlife.

Day 7: Departure from Guwahati
